05 – Result Entry, Data Tools and QA/QC

This lesson provides a comprehensive overview of data entry and quality control processes within LABWORKS eLIMS. Participants will learn how to enter results manually,  automatic calculations, validation rules and system flags to ensure accuracy and compliance. The module also introduces the creation of eWorksheets, including assigning samples and analyses for structured data capture.

In addition, the lesson covers importing results directly from instruments or external data files, reducing manual entry and improving efficiency. Learners will explore how to attach supporting documentation, calibration sheets, and instrument outputs to maintain full traceability and audit readiness.

The training also focuses on eWorksheet control and quality workflows, including locking, approval processes, electronic signatures, and audit history tracking. Participants will learn how to create and manage QA/QC batches, handle QC samples embedded within eWorksheets, and use LABWORKS QC review screens for validation and corrective actions. Finally, the lesson explains the progression from analysis validation to full sample validation, ensuring data integrity throughout the entire review process.
