08 – LIMS Management Configurations

This lesson explores the administrative foundations of LABWORKS eLIMS, focusing on the core responsibilities of the System Manager. Participants will gain an understanding of how the System Manager oversees configuration, security, and overall system governance to ensure controlled and compliant operation.

The module covers the creation and management of Users, Groups, and Roles, as well as the assignment of permissions and access rights. Learners will understand how to structure security settings to reflect organizational hierarchies and responsibilities.

Finally, the lesson explains how to control access to critical areas of the system, including sample data, result entry functions, and System Manager tools. By mastering these configurations, administrators can safeguard data integrity while ensuring users have appropriate access to perform their roles effectively.
